Samsung has officially said that it is working on a fix, an update rather, that will fix the GPS issues on the Galaxy S series of phones, which includes the Captivate. It has also said that the update will be out somewhere in Sept.

Its still to see whether the update will be released along with the launch of Samsung Epic 4G or after the launch or before. We can expect the Epic 4G also to have the update. Samsung said this in the form of a tweet on Twitter. There is no more details about this, nor is there info about the date of the release of the fix, or the download details.

But Samsung said that it would follow up with details about the download instructions and date of release and other info very soon.
